Millionaire Madam C.J. Walker

America’s first female millionaire, Madam C.J. Walker was born Sarah Breedlove one year after the abolishment of slavery. She toiled as a “washerwoman” for the first years of her life. As the story goes, Sarah began losing her hair, and eventually worked out a remedy and a quality marketable product to help other women. It all began in her kitchen. Fast forward, and Madam C.J. Walker hair products are still sold today.

As a role model for success –success that was brought about through pure headstrong tenacity, Madam C.J. Walker tops the list. Despite bigotry, a misogynist culture, sexism, practically insurmountable economic conditions, and against extreme odds, she kept her focus on becoming a successful business woman and millionaire.

Netflix has recently released the series, SELF MADE: Inspired by the Life of Madam C.J. Walker. You can check it out as a binge worthy treat during this period of quarantine we find ourselves in. Check it out: https://www.netflix.com/title/80202462 or find it on your preferred device for watching Netflix. Without spoiling anything, I will say that Octavia Spencer does a (predictably) phenomenal job of portraying Breedlove’s rise from severe poverty to millionaire status.

INFINITE PIE: From Finance to Romance, the Parallel Frequency of Money & Love, includes the story of Madam C.J. Walker as she shines so brightly as being the role model for adopting the irrepressible “mindset” piece of the money pie. If you find yourself with a little time on your hands, you may want to read about her, as well as to discover your own tenacity for creating the life you desire.

It’s a challenge for some of us to focus on anything right now, outside of tracking the COVID-19 pandemic, or if you are anywhere near me, the constant aftershocks (about 300 so far) that are keeping us from fully exhaling after Wednesday’s jolting earthquake. But if you are looking for a quick read, or have an interest in reading or watching content that may actually raise your vibration rather than repressing it, check out both INFINITE PIE, and SELF-MADE.

We’ll get through this!

Much Love,
jan
